Gangdong-gu Holds First Easy-to-Understand Tax Seminar

Due to the ongoing economic downturn and increasingly complex and diverse tax systems, residents' interest in smart tax-saving methods is steadily rising.

In response, Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Suhee) announced that it will hold its first-ever tax briefing session on April 17 at the Gangdong-gu Office auditorium to assist residents struggling with complicated and difficult tax issues.

The district will present ways to wisely save on taxes by focusing on various tax-related cases such as inheritance tax, gift tax, property tax, and comprehensive income tax, helping residents resolve their everyday tax-related questions.

Additionally, in preparation for the May comprehensive income tax final filing, guidance will be provided on filing methods and commonly overlooked tax credits and exemptions.

The lecture will be conducted over two hours by tax accountants Guseongdo and Park Hyewon, who volunteer as Gangdong-gu village tax accountants, and will include a session to review questions submitted in advance by participating residents.

Residents wishing to participate can apply starting from the 15th via the Gangdong-gu Office website or by calling the Local Income Tax Division.

Mayor Lee Suhee of Gangdong-gu stated, “Through this briefing session, we hope to alleviate residents' tax concerns by providing useful tax information and tax-saving methods that are helpful in daily life,” and added, “Gangdong-gu will continue to strive to offer various tax administrative services tailored to taxpayers' perspectives.”
