New National Treasure Designation Arrived... 'Ulju Cheonjeon-ri Engraving' → 'Ulju Cheonjeon-ri Inscription and Petroglyphs'

On the 13th, Kim Du-gyeom, Mayor of Ulsan, is holding up the national treasure designation certificate received from the Cultural Heritage Administration.

The national treasure ‘Ulju Cheonjeon-ri Engraved Stones’ was renamed ‘Ulju Cheonjeon-ri Inscriptions and Petroglyphs’ on February 28 and a new national treasure designation certificate was issued.

Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom revealed the national treasure designation certificate received from the Cultural Heritage Administration on the 13th.

The application for UNESCO World Heritage listing of the ‘Petroglyphs of Bangudaecheon’, which includes ‘Ulju Cheonjeon-ri Inscriptions and Petroglyphs’ and ‘Ulju Daegok-ri Bangudae Petroglyphs’, has passed the completeness review by the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and will enter the main evaluation from this month until the first half of next year.
