Recruitment of 1,463 New Lotto Retailers... Qualification Requirements Must Be Checked

The application period is from March 20 to April 23.

The lottery operator Donghaeng Lottery will recruit '2024 Online (Lotto) Lottery New Sellers' for about one month starting from March 20, targeting 160 cities, counties, and districts nationwide.

A total of 1,463 people will be selected from 160 cities, counties, and districts, excluding some areas, considering market size such as population and sales volume by region. Additionally, 488 reserve candidates will be selected by recruitment area unit.

Eligibility for application is prioritized for contract candidates and low-income groups, starting from age 19. Priority contract candidates include persons with disabilities, independence activists and national merit recipients, basic livelihood security recipients, and heads of single-parent families, who will be allocated 90%. The low-income group, accounting for 10% of the selected candidates, must be able to provide supporting documents such as a low-income verification certificate according to Article 2, Clause 10 of the National Basic Livelihood Security Act.

Applications can be submitted online through the 'Seller Recruitment Announcement' on the Donghaeng Lottery website, where applicants can select their eligibility and desired sales location. The application period is from 10 a.m. on March 20 to 6 p.m. on April 23.

Considering that the average annual commission income of newly opened sales points over the past four years (2019?2022) was about 22 million KRW (including VAT), applicants should comprehensively review economic conditions, income levels, and office rental fees before applying.

The selection of new sellers will be conducted by random drawing using a computer program for each city, county, and district (based on basic local government units), and results can be checked on the Donghaeng Lottery website after 6 p.m. on April 24. Final contract candidates must pass document submission and screening processes to qualify as sellers. The screening period is from May 2 to May 31.
