SK Biopharm Advances Environmental Management, Wins CDP 'Carbon Management Sector Honors' Award

SK Biopharm announced on the 13th that it received the 'Carbon Management Sector Honors' at the 2023 Climate Change Response and Water Management Excellence Awards (CDP Korea Awards).

CDP is a global initiative that, on behalf of 746 global financial investment institutions, requests major companies worldwide to disclose environmental management information related to climate change response, forest resources, and more. It publishes an annual analysis report to investors and stakeholders and awards companies with outstanding evaluations.

The Carbon Management Sector Honors is an award given to companies that achieve top grades in their respective fields in the CDP evaluation. SK Biopharm achieved a Management B grade, one level higher than the previous year, securing a top grade in the pharmaceutical and health sector in this evaluation.

SK Biopharm has established an environment management-based 'SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) Policy' and is making efforts to minimize environmental impact in business activities by organizing environment management strategies, goals, and performance items company-wide.

In particular, it is actively responding to climate change by ▲ aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040 through reducing greenhouse gas emissions and managing energy consumption ▲ minimizing environmental impact by reducing harmful substance emissions ▲ strengthening environmental management systems and communicating with stakeholders. It also operates and improves its environmental management system by conducting periodic environmental law compliance and compliance audits according to international standard systems. All domestic business sites have acquired ISO 14001, a global-level environmental management system certification.
