Various Signatures Digitized at Airport... Jeju Air Expands Electronic Documents

Pet Transport Pledge, Medical Opinion, and 10 Other Documents
Boarding Process Time Reduced by 10 Minutes... Saves 200,000 Sheets of Paper Annually

When using Jeju Air, there will no longer be a need to print and sign various documents such as medical certificates and pet transportation agreements.

Jeju Air announced on the 13th that it has enabled the digital submission of various documents required for boarding an aircraft.

The documents covered include ▲Pet Transportation Agreement ▲Child Safety Care Guardian Agreement ▲Special Baggage Transportation Agreement ▲Medical Certificate, among 10 types of documents that previously required handwritten signatures on paper. Now, signatures for these items can be entered through digital devices. Although carrying the medical certificate is still necessary, signing it digitally is now possible.

As customers’ signed information is digitally linked, unnecessary verification procedures are omitted, allowing boarding check-in time to be reduced by about 10 minutes. Additionally, the completed documents are stored on a secure server for automatic retention and disposal, further enhancing the protection of customers’ personal information.

Jeju Air expects that real-time confirmation of customers’ boarding information at departure and arrival points will facilitate faster processing and make it easier to provide customized services for each customer. Furthermore, it anticipates saving approximately 200,000 sheets of paper annually through this initiative.

A Jeju Air official stated, "We are expanding the digitization of documents across all departments, including flight operations and cabin services, starting with boarding documents. We aim not only to enhance customer convenience but also to strengthen ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management through operational efficiency and carbon reduction."
