For Residents of Eunpyeong-gu or Workers at Local Childcare Centers
Online Registration Opens April 3 at 2 PM on 'Seoul Public Service Reservation' Website, First-Come, First-Served
Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it will operate an emotional support program called ‘Mindfulness Prescription’ for child care workers.
The ‘Mindfulness Prescription’ program is an emotional support program conducted through art and color. It provides a time for self-care to recover from the exhaustion of daily life and manage stress through activities such as making wood dolls, garden kits, and LED light kits.
The program targets child caregivers, workers at daycare centers, child welfare facilities, and youth welfare facilities who reside in Eunpyeong-gu or work at child care institutions within the district.
The course consists of four sessions over four weeks, and participation is free of charge. Registration opens on April 3rd at 2 PM on the ‘Seoul Metropolitan Public Service Reservation’ website on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, stated, “This program was launched for the first time this year to guarantee the health rights of child care workers responsible for the care and welfare of children in Eunpyeong-gu and to reduce emotional labor. We hope that through the Mindfulness Prescription, both child care workers and the children receiving care will become happy in Eunpyeong.”
