Information on 104 Parks Gathered in One Place... Provided on Smart Seoul App and District Office Websites
79 Previously Unregistered Parks Now Registered on Portal Sites Like KakaoMap and Naver Map
It has become convenient to check information about parks in Guro-gu online.
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) announced that it has established a system where spatial information of parks in the area can be viewed at a glance and will provide the service starting this month.
The Guro-gu Park Spatial Information System contains information on a total of 104 parks, including neighborhood parks (22), cultural parks (3), sports parks (1), street parks (1), riverside parks (1), children’s parks (24), small parks (12), infant forest experience centers (4), and village yards (38).
The system features the ability to view scattered park information all at once, from park names, addresses, area, phone numbers, on-site photos, to emergency contact numbers.
The park spatial information is provided through the Smart Seoul app’s ‘Urban Life Map’ and the district office website’s ‘Information by Category,’ and can be conveniently accessed not only via computers (PC) but also through mobile devices.
Additionally, the district has completed registration of 79 unregistered parks, which were difficult to locate because they were not searchable on portal sites such as KakaoMap and Naver Map.
Along with the park names and location information, on-site photos taken during the comprehensive survey of unregistered parks conducted last February have been added to make it easier and faster to find and use the parks.
A Guro-gu official said, “We expect that the park spatial information system, a service closely connected to daily life, will directly help residents in their everyday lives,” and added, “We will continue to utilize spatial information technology in various ways to improve work efficiency and the quality of life for residents.”
