Chung Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, received an annual salary of 4 billion KRW from Hyundai Mobis last year. This amount is 375 million KRW higher than in 2022.
According to Hyundai Mobis' business report on the 12th, Chairman Chung received a total of 4 billion KRW last year, including a salary of 2.5 billion KRW and a bonus of 1.5 billion KRW.
Hyundai Mobis explained that Chairman Chung's salary last year was paid based on internal standards such as the executive salary table and executive wage determination criteria, considering factors like job position, rank, length of service, company contribution, and talent development.
Former Hyundai Mobis CEO Cho Sung-hwan received a total of 2.764 billion KRW, including severance pay of 1.256 billion KRW, salary of 900 million KRW, bonus of 670 million KRW, and other labor income of 1 million KRW. Cho, who currently serves as an advisor to Hyundai Motor Group, was appointed in January this year as the first Korean president of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Former Head of Finance Division (Vice President) Bae Hyung-geun, who moved to Hyundai Motor Securities as CEO last year, was paid a total of 1.566 billion KRW, including severance pay of 741 million KRW, salary of 590 million KRW, bonus of 234 million KRW, and other labor income of 1 million KRW.
Chairman Chung serves as a registered executive not only at Hyundai Mobis but also at Hyundai Motor and Kia, although he does not receive compensation from Kia. Chairman Chung's total salary for last year is expected to be confirmed through Hyundai Motor's business report, which will be announced soon.
