Declaration of Hope Vision 2030, Organizational Restructuring and Innovation
Expansion of Dedicated Teams for Occupational Diseases and Retirement Pensions
The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service has embarked on innovating the operation of industrial accident insurance by expanding the dedicated organization for occupational diseases, eliminating blind spots, and eradicating fraudulent claims.
On the 12th, the Service held the '2024 Proactive Leader Innovation Resolution Conference' attended by over 200 employees nationwide, proclaiming a new vision: 'Safety in the Workplace, Stability in Life, and a Happiness Partner for All Workers.'
This resolution conference, held for the first time since the Service's establishment, proceeded under the slogan 'Let's Change! Let's Soar!' and included a vision proclamation ceremony, a lecture by Director Park Jong-gil, a proactive leader meeting, and an invited lecture by Ryu Kyung-hee, Director of the Occupational Safety and Health Headquarters at the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the supervising ministry.

Park Jong-gil, President of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, is giving a lecture at the 'Hope Vision 2030' Innovation Resolution Meeting.
To implement the new vision, the Service decided to expand dedicated organizations to respond to the increasing occupational diseases, eradicate fraudulent claims in industrial accident insurance, and promote the introduction of retirement pensions in small and micro enterprises.
The Service stated that industrial accident insurance, celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, is the oldest among social insurances and that social demands for fairness and transparency have recently increased. They have launched a strategy to eliminate the 'Three S's'?blind spots, quadruple losses, and selfish interests.
Director Park Jong-gil emphasized, "This is a moment where 'Hope Vision 2030,' carried out with the participation and unity of all employees, is sublimated into 'Our Vision, not Your Vision.' Let us renew ourselves in the Year of the Blue Dragon and soar."
The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced last month the results of a special audit on the entire industrial accident insurance system and declared it would undertake improvements to prevent system abuse, establishing a task force composed of external experts.
