Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is publicly recruiting tenant companies for the social economy incubating spaces in Hyochon 1 District and Hyochon 2 District to establish a stable growth foundation for social economy enterprises.
According to Nam-gu on the 12th, the recruitment of tenant companies for the social economy incubating spaces will be conducted until the 20th.
The offices provided for incubating purposes include one office in LH Complex 3 in Hyochon 1 District and two offices in LH Complex 7 in Hyochon 2 District.
The size of the office in LH Complex 3 is approximately 71㎡, and the two offices in Complex 7 are each about 41㎡.
Eligibility requirements include social enterprises and preliminary social enterprises under the Social Enterprise Promotion Act, village enterprises and preliminary village enterprises, cooperatives under the Framework Act on Cooperatives, and organizations composed of representatives of social economy enterprises located within the district.
Eligible industries for tenancy must be social services such as medical care, welfare, and childcare, or industries capable of job creation, or industries that can be established as Type 1 or Type 2 neighborhood living facilities. However, industries such as supermarkets, laundries, beauty salons, and general restaurants, which may cause commercial conflicts within the complex, are restricted from participation.
Nam-gu plans to select three tenant companies based on a comprehensive evaluation of business plans, job creation, social value creation, and contributions to the local community, ranking by highest scores.
Companies moving into the incubating spaces can use the offices free of charge for two years, and after two years, the usage period can be extended through a re-evaluation.

Meanwhile, Nam-gu signed an agreement with the Korea Land and Housing Corporation Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters in 2017 and 2020 to use incubating spaces within LH Complexes 7 and 3, providing office spaces for 20 years to foster the social economy.
