IRP Balance Increased by Over 220 Billion KRW in Two Months
NH Investment & Securities announced on the 12th that its Individual Retirement Pension (IRP) reserves have surpassed 2 trillion KRW.
NH Investment & Securities' IRP reserves increased by more than 220 billion KRW in just over two months this year, exceeding 2 trillion KRW. As of the end of 2023, IRP reserves stood at 1.7817 trillion KRW, marking a 586 billion KRW increase compared to the end of 2022, representing a 49% annual growth.
NH Investment & Securities attributed the growth in IRP reserves to differentiated IRP strategies by channel and strengthened mobile platform strategies. After launching the integrated pension asset service in 2022, NH Investment & Securities introduced pension readiness diagnosis, pension product PICK, and TAX platform services in 2023, providing various pension solutions for retirement pension customers. In particular, the mobile platform user interface (UI) was improved to enhance user convenience, allowing customers to easily invest in various products such as time deposits, bonds, funds, Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), and REITs via smartphones.
NH Investment & Securities' mobile securities platform, Namuh, has also been well received by customers by continuously offering IRP free commission benefits and various events. Namuh customers enjoy free IRP management fees, operation fees, and trading fees. An event is ongoing until June 28. During the event period, customers can receive mobile department store gift certificates worth up to 30,000 KRW depending on the IRP net deposit amount tier.
Hong Guk-il, Head of the Retirement Pension Consulting Division at NH Investment & Securities, stated, "With the implementation of physical transfer of retirement pensions by the end of this year, fierce competition among retirement pension providers will unfold." He added, "NH Investment & Securities will focus on managing retirement pension returns through a competitive product lineup centered on retirement pension-dedicated Equity-Linked Securities (ELS), Equity-Linked Bonds (ELB), and bonds." NH Investment & Securities plans to continue striving to enhance customer satisfaction by providing one-on-one customized consulting for retirement pension customers.
