Daily Necessities at Unbeatable Prices: 'Real Price Week' Event
GS Retail's supermarket GS THE FRESH announced on the 12th that starting in March, it will hold the 'Real Price Week,' a monthly special event offering groceries and daily necessities at discounted prices.
Real Price Week is an event where GS Retail offers its ultra-low-priced private brand (PB) Real Price products at shockingly low prices. Once a month, for one week, fresh foods with high price sensitivity are offered at 1,000 won, and frequently purchased everyday items are sold at affordable prices. The 1,000 won fresh foods and promotional products change monthly according to customer demand and the season. GS THE FRESH planned this event to stabilize shopping basket prices in response to the recent sharp rise in inflation.
From the 13th to the 19th, GS THE FRESH will offer three fresh food items at 1,000 won each: Real Price Kong Tofu 300g, pesticide-free domestic soybean sprouts 130g, and Busan fish cake 120g. Additionally, 29 Real Price products such as smoked sliced pork (400g), perilla leaf wraps (300g), butter cookies (420g), somyeon/jungmyeon noodles (500g), canola oil/sunflower oil/grape seed oil (1ℓ), sesame oil (450ml), tuna sauce (900ml), and beauty tissues (280 sheets x 3 packs) will be sold at the lowest prices compared to similar product categories. Customers who purchase more than 15,000 won worth of Real Price products during the event will receive 1,000 GS&POINT membership points.
In addition to Real Price Week, GS THE FRESH will hold the 'Sale King' event every week throughout March. From the 13th to the 19th, major promotions include 1++ grade Korean beef soup cut (300g) at 9,800 won. On the 16th, 1++ grade Korean beef sirloin (300g) will be sold at 19,800 won, limited to 5,000 packs. Harim brand spicy braised chicken (800g) will be offered at 5,980 won, and chicken breast (270g), thigh steak (320g), and peeled quail eggs (270g) will be sold as buy one get one free (1+1).
Vegetables are part of a year-round event focusing on essential and seasonal vegetables under the 'Cheaper Vegetables' campaign. During the same period, green onions will be offered at 2,980 won, along with discounted prices on Gyeonggi spinach (1,580 won), chives (2,480 won), dadaegi cucumbers (3 pieces for 2,980 won), king oyster mushrooms (2 pieces for 2,980 won), and peeled garlic (500g for 3,980 won). The seafood section will offer discounted prices on domestic cleaned mackerel (special/1 fish) and Tongyeong fresh oysters (250g) at 4,980 won, Jeju cleaned silver cutlassfish (3 fish) at 6,800 won, clams and small cockles (800g) at 5,980 won, anchovies for broth (300g) at 5,980 won, and anchovies for stir-frying (300g) at 7,980 won.

Furthermore, GS THE FRESH will stabilize dining-out prices by offering two old-fashioned fried chickens for 5,900 won each on the 15th and 16th. Simultaneously, products such as tofu, frozen pizza, ice cream, seaweed, porridge, sauces, and fabric softeners will be sold as 'buy one get one free' under the 'One More Gift' promotion, along with limited daily sales and various other events.
A GS THE FRESH representative said, "To minimize the heavy burden on customers' shopping baskets caused by soaring prices, we will offer various products, including our ultra-low-priced PB brand, at shockingly low prices every month. Through new and benefit-filled events every week and month, we will further enhance customer satisfaction for those visiting our supermarket."
Meanwhile, GS THE FRESH plans to continue monthly events for agricultural, livestock, and seafood products, which directly reflect living costs. To this end, GS THE FRESH is in discussions with several local governments and signed a business agreement with Wando County on the 12th to secure excellent agricultural and marine products.
