Accelerating Expansion into Overseas Markets
Supplying to Finance, Medical, Defense, Aviation, and Distribution Sectors
Genians is expanding its presence in overseas markets.
Cybersecurity company Genians announced on the 12th that it has recently supplied its network security solution, 'Genians NAC (Network Access Control),' to the United States, Middle East, South America, and Southeast Asia. The customer sectors are diverse, including state government agencies, finance, healthcare, defense, aviation, and distribution.
An overseas furniture distribution company that was using an on-premises (built-in) NAC has switched to a cloud-based subscription model. A Philippine energy company expanded additional nodes after the initial adoption in 2020, and a Malaysian utility company that was using a competitor’s solution recently won back with 'Genians NAC.'
As IT environments have become more complex due to the spread of telecommuting and remote work, interest in 'Cloud NAC' has grown even more. Genians provides the subscription model 'Cloud NAC' to a wide range of global customers, from small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) facing difficulties with initial adoption costs and management to multinational corporations.
The increasing product demand from existing customers also supports Genians’ overseas business growth. Some customers decided to adopt additional solutions after piloting Genians’ solutions. The company explained that this is an indicator of the excellence and high satisfaction of Genians’ solutions.
With overseas customers exceeding 100, Genians is recognized for its technological capabilities in overseas markets through collaboration with all major global partners including the Deloitte Group, providing advanced cloud services, and participating in cybersecurity exhibitions held in key countries.
Recently, the government has been actively supporting the growth and overseas expansion of domestic security companies through initiatives such as the cybersecurity venture fund and strengthening the competitiveness of the information protection industry. It is expected that an environment for collaboration between companies will be established along with the scale-up of security companies. Genians plans to expand its competitiveness by seeking collaboration opportunities with domestic companies in line with environmental changes.
Kim Gye-yeon, CTO of Genians and head of the U.S. branch, said, "We continue to receive product inquiries from overseas companies," adding, "We have recently succeeded in securing additional customers in the Middle East, a region with great potential." He further stated, "We will discover more business opportunities through synergy with government policies and strengthen our position in the global information protection market."
