Competitive Edge with Local Production and Specialized Products
Hyundai L&C is accelerating its efforts to expand its share in the global building materials market by consecutively participating in large-scale building materials and interior exhibitions held in the United States, India, and other countries.
Hyundai L&C, a comprehensive building materials company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on the 12th that it participated in ‘KBIS (The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show) 2024,’ held over three days from the 27th of last month in Las Vegas, USA.

KBIS is the largest kitchen and bathroom exhibition in North America, with over 600 companies participating worldwide. Hyundai L&C has participated a total of 13 times up to this year.
At this exhibition, Hyundai L&C introduced more than 120 products, including ‘Kanstone’ (export name Hanstone), a premium engineered stone that replicates the patterns and textures of natural stone, and ‘Hanex,’ an MMA (methyl methacrylate)-based artificial marble.
In particular, Hyundai L&C attracted attention by showcasing specialized designs targeting corporate customers in the North American region. Representative products include ‘Tahitian Cream’ and ‘Rivi?re,’ new global market-specialized products from the high-end engineered stone ‘Opimo Collection.’ The Opimo Collection is characterized by its meticulous replication of the flow patterns of the highest-grade natural quartz stone, making it visually indistinguishable from natural stone.
A Hyundai L&C official stated, “Following our participation in KBIS, we have received a flood of inquiries about new products from many companies, including large-scale processors and architects in North America,” adding, “We will especially focus on expanding our sales network in the eastern United States by utilizing our Toronto factory in Canada.”
Earlier, Hyundai L&C participated for the first time in ‘Indiawood 2024,’ held from the 22nd to the 26th of last month in Bengaluru, India, showcasing key products such as interior films and Hanex. Indiawood is India’s representative furniture and equipment exhibition, with over 620 companies participating worldwide. Through this participation, Hyundai L&C is in the process of signing multiple new supply contracts with large Indian furniture companies and film processing firms.
A Hyundai L&C official said, “Based on the high recognition and trust our key products have built in the global market, as well as the development of country-specific specialized products, we will continue to strengthen our overseas market strategies and leap forward as a global building materials company.”
