Kim Heung-guk said, "I have always respected former President Park Chung-hee and Yuk Young-soo in my heart, and then I met a film director. Although this is my first time producing a film, I decided to dive in with a heart full of love for the country in the Year of the Blue Dragon without hesitation."

The first half of the film will shed light on the liberation period under Syngman Rhee, Kim Gu, Park Heon-young, Kim Il-sung, the North Korean Soviet military administration, and the South Korean U.S. military government. The middle and latter parts will depict Park Chung-hee’s war participation records, the May 16 coup and industrialization process, the passing of Yuk Young-soo, and the state funeral of President Park Chung-hee.

A production presentation will also be held on the 14th at 5:30 PM at The Plaza Hotel Seoul.

"The General Election Is Extremely Important"

Kim Heung-guk, who publicly supported President Yoon Suk-yeol in the last presidential election, has recently been voicing support for the People Power Party continuously. I feel ashamed that I have lived without knowing much about Syngman Rhee, the founding president of our country." He added, "I only shed tears while watching the film. This is our country's history. I hope young people watch 'The Founding War.'"

Also, on the 7th, he attended the opening ceremony of the election office for Park Jin, the People Power Party’s preliminary candidate for Seodaemun-eul, saying, "Left-wing entertainers are taking the lead in election support, but right-wing entertainers are scared and not coming out." He raised his voice, saying, "I believe the upcoming April 10 general election is extremely important. I am willing to stake my life on it."
