The Gwangju Esports Education Center is recruiting trainees for the "Esports Broadcast Directing Observer Course," an expert course for advancing in the esports industry, from the 11th to the 30th of this month.
This training program focuses on the observing process of the esports title League of Legends, providing content that helps understand key know-how in esports broadcast directing, observer duties, processes, and various systems.
The main course contents include ▲History and marketing structure of esports broadcasting ▲Esports broadcast technology and production methods ▲Basic observer theory ▲League of Legends observer classes. To support this, Mr. Seo Gyu-won, currently a League of Legends coach at the T1 Esports Academy, will participate as an instructor.
The lectures will be conducted online using 'Discord' over three days?Friday the 22nd, Tuesday the 26th, and Friday the 29th?for a total of 6 hours. This free training is aimed at youth, university students, and the general public who wish to pursue a career as a broadcast directing observer in the esports industry, with a recruitment limit of 30 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
Successful applicants will be individually notified on the 21st, and certificates of completion will be awarded based on attendance. Those interested in enrolling can apply by the 30th via the Gwangju Esports Education Center website or through the Gwangju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency and Honam University by accessing the QR code or link in the announcement.
The Gwangju Esports Education Center operates with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Gwangju Metropolitan City under the "2024 Esports Professional Workforce Development Support" project. Honam University was selected as the entrusted operator for 2024 and is currently managing the project.
The Gwangju Esports Education Center offers various programs including discovering and nurturing promising pro gamers, training field-oriented esports professionals, expanding the esports base, and youth game classes to enhance understanding of esports. It also provides esports experience and club-level education for elementary, middle, and high school students in the region.
