Inauguration Ceremony at NongHyup Headquarters
Kang Ho-dong, the newly appointed president of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF), emphasized on the 11th that "bold change and innovation are necessary to resolve the current crisis in agriculture and rural areas."
President Kang made this statement during his inauguration at the NACF headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, declaring "A New Korea NACF through Change and Innovation."
As measures to realize the new vision, he called for ▲concentrating the NACF's capabilities to enhance the status and activate the businesses of agricultural and livestock cooperatives ▲leading future agribusiness and improving agricultural income through production and distribution innovation ▲supporting the growth of agricultural and livestock cooperatives by innovating the financial sector and enhancing digital competitiveness ▲realizing a new NACF through future management and organizational culture innovation ▲expanding urban-rural exchanges and revitalizing the rural economy.
President Kang stated, "I will devote all my efforts to actively representing the rights and interests of farmers and creating a strong NACF with agricultural and livestock cooperatives at its center," adding, "Let us vigorously move forward to create 'Hope Agriculture' that brings happiness and security to everyone and drives Korea's growth, and 'Happy Rural Communities' that are revived with youth and wisdom and visited for rest and enjoyment."
