Integrated Support Measures Developed for Families Facing Complex Issues
Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Woo Seung-hee) held a public-private joint crisis household solution meeting on the 6th.
According to the county on the 11th, the meeting was held to accurately identify the problems of a crisis family and to find solutions, with welfare practitioners from both public and private welfare organizations participating.
The crisis household discussed at the meeting was a multicultural family whose members were experiencing various and complex issues, including mental health problems.
The county held the meeting based on the view that it is preferable for the public and private sectors to collaboratively provide solutions through collective intelligence rather than having individual organizations provide welfare services to the family in a dispersed manner.
Fifteen practitioners from Yeongam-gun, the Happy Family Counseling Center, and the Yeongam-gun Family Center gathered for the meeting.
The practitioners from each organization shared information on their previous interventions regarding the ‘Integrated Service Connection and Direction for Crisis Families,’ and further set mid- to short-term goals together, dividing roles by organization to proceed with integrated case management through mutual cooperation.
A county official stated, “We plan to continue holding public-private joint solution meetings to meet various resident welfare needs and support crisis households in welfare blind spots.”
