Doosan Enerbility to Supply Steam Turbines and Generators for Saudi Combined Cycle Power Plant

More Than 15GW of New Gas Power Plant Orders Expected Over the Next 5 Years

Doosan Enerbility is participating in Saudi Arabia's largest combined cycle power plant project.

Doosan Enerbility announced on the 11th that it has signed an equipment supply contract for the Taiba 1 and Qassim 1 combined cycle power plants in Saudi Arabia with the client SEPCO-3.

Through this contract, Doosan Enerbility will supply one 650MW-class steam turbine and generator each to the Taiba 1 combined cycle power plant and the Qassim 1 combined cycle power plant. The contract amount is approximately 150 billion KRW.

The Taiba 1 and Qassim 1 combined cycle power plants are located about 200 km north of Jeddah and about 200 km northwest of Riyadh, respectively. Both power plants have a capacity of 1800MW and are scheduled to be constructed by 2027.

The developer is a consortium of ACWA Power and the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). SEPCO-3, which signed the supply contract with Doosan Enerbility, is participating in the project as the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor.
