The meeting was held with the attendance of Lim Young-hoon, head of the Pohang Regional Fisheries Office, and key officials. It began with participant introductions, followed by candid proposals of residents' opinions and responses.
The residents' opinions proposed regarding the national implementation project included overall suggestions related to the extension of the Dodong Port breakwater project, adjustment of the curved section of the route, and matters concerning Jeodong Port, Sadong Port, Namyang Port, Taeha Port, and Hyeonpo Port.
In response, the head of the Pohang Regional Fisheries Office stated that they would review the national fishing port projects of interest to Ulleung-gun from various perspectives.
Finally, Nam Han-kwon, the county governor, said, “We will always communicate with residents regarding the national fishing port projects that Ulleung residents are highly interested in, striving to secure budgets and expedite project implementation so that fishermen and local residents can use the ports smoothly and safely.”
