Support Project for Improving Working Conditions of Emotional Laborers at About 10 Workplaces in Busan Area

Project Applications Available from March 11 to 29 via Local Subsidy Management System 'Botaem-e'

Busan City is promoting a support project to improve the working environment for emotional laborers in order to protect their health rights and reduce the burden on small business owners.

Busan City Supports Installation and Improvement Costs for Emotional Laborers' Rest Facilities Busan City Hall.

Emotional laborers refer to occupational groups who directly face customers, patients, passengers, etc., or interact with them through information and communication networks while selling products or providing services.

This includes telephone counselors, telemarketers, bus and taxi drivers, security guards and cleaners in apartment complexes, workers in marts and food service industries, caregivers, and kindergarten and childcare teachers.

This project is being implemented according to the "Busan City Basic Plan for the Protection of Emotional Laborers' Rights" established by the city in August 2022, and was prepared to establish a protection system for emotional laborers and support the creation of an environment where workers and businesses can coexist in a good working environment.

For workplaces in the Busan area where emotional laborers belong, support of up to 5 million KRW will be provided for ▲ new installation or repair of worker rest facilities (wallpapering, flooring, installation of shower facilities, restrooms, nursing rooms, etc.) ▲ purchase of supplies for rest facilities (air conditioners, refrigerators, sofas, wardrobes, etc.) ▲ purchase of protective items for emotional laborers (body cameras, recording devices, installation of air purifiers in offices, etc.).

The support scale is about 10 places, and the workplace must bear at least 10% of the support amount.

Applications for the project can be made from March 11 to 29 through the local subsidy management system "Botaem-e".
