Fumio Kishida's approval rating as Japan's Prime Minister has hit another record low.
On the 10th, Kyodo News reported that a two-day telephone survey conducted from the 9th showed Kishida Cabinet's approval rating at 20.1%. This is the lowest level among the regular surveys Kyodo News has conducted since the Kishida Cabinet took office, dropping 4.4 percentage points from the previous month.
The percentage of respondents who said they "do not support" the Kishida Cabinet rose to 64.4%, an increase of 5.5 percentage points from the previous month.
The Liberal Democratic Party's approval rating also fell to 24.5% from 26.0% the previous month, marking the lowest level since the LDP returned to power in 2012.
When asked whether they felt the economic upswing due to the strong Japanese stock market, 87.9% of respondents answered "No."
