Minister Song Miryeong Visits Hanaro Mart: "Food Companies' Participation Crucial for Price Stability" Song Miryeong, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, is visiting the Nonghyup Changdong Hanaro Mart located in Dobong-gu, Seoul, to check the price situation of major agricultural and livestock products and processed foods.

This visit was arranged to see whether the price stabilization measures in the agricultural and food sector, announced at the Price-Related Ministers' Meeting on the 6th, are working well on the ground and to explore cooperation plans with Nonghyup related to price stability.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs is steadily implementing policies to expand supply, such as support for delivery unit prices (20.4 billion KRW), discount support (23 billion KRW), and the introduction of irregular and imported fruits, along with efforts that directly reduce the perceived price burden to stabilize prices of agricultural and livestock products. In particular, through continuous communication with food companies, the ministry plans to listen to and resolve issues related to price increase factors and ensure that reductions in raw material prices are reflected in food prices.

Nonghyup is also responding to the government's price policies by continuously holding special sales events using the nationwide sales network of Hanaro Mart.

Minister Song said, "The government will do its best to stabilize the price burden of grocery shopping for the public by mobilizing all available means and resources," and urged Nonghyup and Hanaro Mart officials to "carefully check whether various policies are being well applied on the ground and whether there are any additional policies needed."
