Former President Lee Myung-bak (MB) visited the funeral hall of the late Son Myung-sook, wife of former President Kim Young-sam (YS), on the 9th to pay his respects.
Former President Lee arrived at the funeral hall at Seoul National University Hospital around 3 p.m. that day.
In the condolence book, he wrote, "I pray that you live healthily and peacefully in heaven."
After paying his respects, he stayed in the reception room for about 15 minutes, greeting other mourners.
As he left the funeral hall, Former President Lee told reporters, "I have had a connection with the deceased since President YS's administration."
Former President Lee served as a first and second-term lawmaker from 1993 to 1998 during YS's presidency, and his constituency during his second term was Jongno-gu, Seoul, where the Blue House is located.
