The Seoul Western Crime Victim Support Center (Chairman Kim Gap-sik) held its 2024 regular general meeting on the 7th at the Western District Prosecutors' Office large conference room and appointed singer V.O.S Park Ji-heon as its promotional ambassador.

At the event, Chairman Kim Gap-sik said, "Last year, there was an unusually high number of abnormal motive crimes that shocked society, but despite difficult circumstances, our center made efforts in cooperation with related organizations," adding, "We hope that the government's 'one-stop solution,' which is being promoted as a national agenda to provide integrated support for victims from the initial occurrence of crimes through the aftermath, will achieve practical results."
Lee Jin-dong, Chief Prosecutor of the Western District Prosecutors' Office, said, "I think it is fortunate that the current government’s policy focuses on supporting victims rather than perpetrators," and added, "The role of victim support centers, where victims help other victims, is very important."
At the appointment ceremony, a donation ceremony for the proceeds from the caf? 'Haengbok Maru,' operated by the Seoul Western Crime Victim Support Center, was also held. Haengbok Maru uses all its proceeds to support victims and provide jobs to victims of violent crimes and their families. The 5 million won proceeds were received by Mr. A, a victim of violent crime who worked at Haengbok Maru, as the representative.
