8 Floral-Themed Spatial Sculptures and Media Exhibition Experience
On the 6th floor gallery of Shinsegae Centum City, an experiential exhibition titled "Blooming Days," themed "Spring of Shinsegae 2024," is being held.
Comprising a total of 8 artists, this exhibition artistically reinterprets 8 spaces and offers an emotional experience that connects the viewers' sensibilities through flowers.
The first works to encounter are Jang Jin-yeon’s large-scale piece "Receiving Flowers" and paper flower artist Jeon Sun-deok’s "Walking on a Flower Path," made with six types of giant flowers in various colors, which captivate visitors’ attention.
Also, Park Sang-hwa’s work "Flowers Falling," composed of spring-blooming flowers and trees, expresses the spring scenery of blooming flowers shedding petals, inviting viewers with a beckoning gesture.
Florist Hi Kim’s "Flowers in Full Bloom," which creates a space using flowers and landscaping, presents a dreamy and beautiful photo zone like a fairy tale encountered in the city.
Besides the photo zone, various experiential spaces are also prepared. Kim Hye-min’s "Hiding in Flowers," where visitors can deconstruct various elements inside flowers to create their own wallpaper patterns or try on clothes, and TONY LIM’s "Becoming Flowers," which expresses movement as a person transforms into natural phenomena, invite audience participation.
LALALEE’s optical art "Falling into Flowers," which visually enjoys three-dimensional spatiality, offers an experience of becoming part of the artwork by moving objects.
The project group "Yeop (Yeop)" also provides "Filling Flowers," featuring personalized bouquet coloring and flower origami content.
Blooming Days, held at the Shinsegae Department Store Centum City 6th floor gallery, welcomes visitors from the 8th until June 30. Infants under 36 months enter free, children under 13 pay 5,000 KRW, and those 14 and older pay 9,000 KRW for admission.
