Lotte Holds 'AI Conference' for CEOs of All Affiliates

Lotte announced on the 8th that it held the '2024 LOTTE CEO AI Conference (hereinafter AI Conference)' under the theme of 'Lotte Preparing for the AI+X Era' at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, Seoul.

The AI Conference, held the previous day with about 110 attendees including Lotte Chairman Shin Dong-bin, heads of each business division, Lotte Holdings executives, and CEOs and CSOs of all affiliates, began with a presentation from the Future Strategy Institute on business strategies in the AI era and the role of CEOs. Following this, domestic AI experts introduced business change trends since the advent of AI and essential requirements for business transformation, along with successful case studies.

Lotte Holdings' AI-TFT presented the group's AI strategy and operational direction. The AI-TFT proposed the AI roadmap and key tasks pursued at the group level, along with AI adoption cases from affiliates such as Lotte Construction and Lotte Department Store. Lotte Information & Communication introduced the AI technologies and strategies applied to Lotte's AI platform Aimember.

At the venue, booths were set up where attendees could experience AI-related startup technologies. A total of nine startups, including Lotte Information & Communication and its subsidiary Calibers, as well as SpaceVisionAI, S2W, MondrianAI, and others, participated to showcase and demonstrate their AI technologies and business services.

Starting with this 'CEO AI Conference,' Lotte plans to continuously conduct AI-related webinars and forums both online and offline to strengthen AI capabilities across all employees. A Lotte official stated, "AI is expanding its scope of application across all industries and is actually generating profits through business models," adding, "We expect that by instilling AI DNA in the CEOs of each affiliate leading businesses in various fields such as manufacturing, distribution, and services, they will be equipped with the capabilities to realize the AI+X era."
