According to the business community, Chairman Lee visited Suwon Digital City in the afternoon to receive a report on the global TV market status and business strategy together with the management of the Visual Display (VD) division.

It is known that Chairman Lee visited the site to enhance technological competitiveness and check the status of future preparations amid intensified competition in the global TV market.

At the event, Samsung Electronics demonstrated 'Bolly,' a yellow ball-shaped artificial intelligence (AI) companion robot that was surprisingly unveiled at 'CES 2024' and became a hot topic. After watching the Bolly demonstration, Chairman Lee suggested, "Please consider ways to link it with Galaxy wearable products." He also reportedly said, "I hope (Bolly) includes functions for elderly people living alone."

Chairman Lee also personally viewed the Neo QLED 8K equipped with the '3rd generation AI 8K processor' introduced at CES 2024, as well as the transparent Micro LED.

Samsung Electronics will launch new products including the Neo QLED 8K, OLED TV with 'OLED Glare Free' technology, and 98-inch Neo QLED and UHD models on the 15th. Currently, pre-sales are underway, and sales exceeded 1,500 units within three days of the start of pre-sales, surpassing last year's total pre-sale performance.

Chairman Lee showed interest by asking questions about the differentiation from existing products and the remote control design while reviewing the new TV product lineup. He also examined various AI technologies and design strategies applied to TV and digital signage products.

Previously, in February last year, Chairman Lee visited the TV business site ahead of the launch of new OLED TV products to review pricing, competitiveness compared to rivals, and the status of improvements in TV software (SW) and usability (UI).
