Public Officials and Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, Proceeding with Case Studies
On the 7th, Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam announced that it conducted anti-corruption, integrity, and Conflict of Interest Prevention Act training for county head Seong Nak-in and Changnyeong-gun public officials.
In the training held for about 170 officials from the Changnyeong-gun headquarters, affiliated institutions, and town and township offices, the sessions covered ▲ the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act ▲ the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act that public officials should know ▲ and the Public Officials' Code of Conduct regulations, explained in an easy-to-understand, case-centered manner.

In particular, instructor Lee Gang-su, who led the training, emphasized raising awareness and focusing on prevention of the recently frequent cases of ‘Gapjil’ by explaining examples of the prohibition of ‘Gapjil’ under the Public Officials' Code of Conduct.
County head Seong said, “Based on the contents of this training, please pay special attention to prevent any violations during future work execution,” and added, “Let us make efforts to raise our own awareness of integrity to maintain our pride as public officials of Changnyeong-gun and to create an honest public service society.”
