Xperix (CEO Yoon Sang-chul) announced on the 7th that it has joined the consortium for the AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) construction project promoted by the government of Mozambique, Africa.
This project is part of Xperix's ongoing global market expansion strategy and is expected to be the first large-scale project on the African continent as well as an important milestone.
Xperix has already provided digital ID solutions based on biometric recognition algorithms recognized in more than 130 countries worldwide. The AFIS construction project in Mozambique, in which the company is participating, is part of a government-led national security enhancement and crime prevention program. The established system is expected to effectively support criminal tracking and identity verification by providing law enforcement agencies with fast and accurate fingerprint identification services.
Through participation in this project, the company will be able to contribute to improving public safety and crime response capabilities in Mozambique. It is also expected to serve as an opportunity to recognize the company's technological capabilities and overseas business execution skills.
