‘After Hope Sharing Project Donation Box Opening’
Donations Possible from General Public and Bank Employees
BNK Gyeongnam Bank continues to support the healthy growth of underprivileged children and adolescents in the region.
On the 7th, BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced that it has opened a donation box for the ‘After Hope Sharing Project’ on ‘Bankit,’ a joint social contribution platform of the Korea Federation of Banks member companies, and is currently accepting donations.
The After Hope Sharing Project is an indirect donation campaign aimed at providing continuous support, rather than one-time aid, to 10 underprivileged children and adolescents in the region who received living and tuition expenses through last year’s Hope Sharing Project, helping them overcome difficulties and grow healthily.
The Hope Sharing Project is a child and youth support program that BNK Gyeongnam Bank runs in cooperation with local educational institutions, welfare organizations, and media to assist underprivileged children and adolescents in the region. Beneficiaries include children who have suffered domestic abuse, children from grandparent-headed households, and children with intellectual disabilities.
The After Hope Sharing Project, designed to provide ongoing support to these children, operates through indirect donations rather than direct monetary contributions. Donations are made by Bankit matching the number of support actions such as likes, shares, and comments.
The target amount is 14 million KRW. For general public participation, each ‘like’ and ‘share’ contributes 10,000 KRW, and each ‘comment’ contributes 20,000 KRW. For bank employees who join Bankit, each ‘like’ and ‘share’ contributes 20,000 KRW, and each ‘comment’ contributes 40,000 KRW.
To participate in the donation, visit the Bankit website by the 27th, click on ‘After Hope Sharing Project’ under the BANKs menu, and then like, share, or comment.
Choi Dae-sik, Head of the Social Contribution Public Relations Department, said, “There are many children and adolescents around us who need help but are in blind spots of support. We hope not only BNK Gyeongnam Bank employees but also customers and local residents will actively participate and show warm interest so that children growing up in difficult environments can hold on to hope and continue to nurture their dreams.”
Meanwhile, last year BNK Gyeongnam Bank also opened a donation box for the ‘After Youth Dream Star’ and conducted a donation campaign to continuously support local aspiring talents in arts and sports.
