Kim Jae-wook, Chilgok County Governor of Gyeongbuk, Honored with the Korea Senior Citizens Association 'Innovative Leader Administrative Award'

Gyeongbuk Chilgok-gun County Governor Kim Jae-wook received the ‘Innovative Leader Administrative Award’ in the fields of administrative development and community contribution.


Governor Kim was honored at the ‘2024 Innovative Leader Awards Ceremony’ recently held at the FKI Tower Conference Center in Seoul, hosted by the Korea Senior Citizens Association Central Committee.

The Innovative Leader Award was established to recognize and honor the achievements of leaders such as members of the National Assembly, heads of local governments, and local council members who have devoted themselves to the development of their respective fields with outstanding leadership and expertise.


Since the launch of the 8th local government term, Governor Kim has demonstrated proactive administrative capabilities throughout Chilgok-gun, laying a strong foundation for innovation and establishing a base for future growth engines.


In particular, he attracted the attention of major international media by proactively responding to the aging society and implementing innovative and diverse efforts to spread silver culture.


Kim Ho-il, President of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, stated, “Governor Kim Jae-wook has led a new elderly culture in Korean society through education for future generations, the promotion of the Chilgok Halmae Culture Center construction, and Halmae content,” adding, “We ask him to continue striving to create a city where all generations live together happily and healthily as one family.”


Governor Kim Jae-wook expressed his award acceptance, saying, “I am very honored to receive this award fairly and squarely, not through advertising or sponsorship,” and added, “I will do my best to develop Chilgok-gun into a city where anyone wants to live through new growth, challenges, and changes.”
