Participating in 'MCE 2024' in Milan, Italy from the 12th
Industry's first with wind blowing from front and bottom
Meets Europe's highest energy rating 'A+++'
LG Electronics is unveiling a new wall-mounted air conditioner, the first of its kind to feature two air outlets?one on the front and one on the bottom.
LG Electronics announced on the 7th that it will participate in 'Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2024,' Europe’s largest HVAC exhibition held in Milan, Italy, from the 12th to the 15th (local time), where it will showcase the wall-mounted air conditioner 'DUAL COOL.'
This product cools and heats indoor spaces faster than existing wall-mounted air conditioners with a single outlet. According to LG Electronics’ internal tests conducted in a 20.9㎡ room, it took more than 20% less time to lower the indoor temperature from 33℃ to 5℃ compared to previous models. Additionally, it reduced the time by about 6% when raising the indoor temperature from 12℃ to 5℃.
LG Electronics also developed a new 'Soft Air' function. The Soft Air function directs airflow only from the front outlet, minimizing direct contact with the body while maintaining a cool sensation. Customers can customize the temperature and airflow of the Soft Air according to their personal preferences. The bottom outlet is equipped with two transparent air guards that precisely adjust the direction of the airflow.
The new product boasts high energy efficiency with a built-in dual inverter heat pump. It meets the highest A+++ energy rating under Europe’s ErP (Energy-related Products) standards.
The new model uses a built-in radar sensor to detect the user’s location in real time, providing optimal cooling and heating. When there is no movement, it operates in energy-saving mode to reduce power consumption. It also features a power-saving mode that activates during sudden temperature changes, such as when a window is opened during cooling or heating, to prevent energy waste.
The product’s energy-saving planner function allows customers to input their target energy usage for a desired period through the LG ThinQ app, continuously notifying them to use the air conditioner without exceeding the set target.
LG Electronics plans to launch the new product in April. In the same month, it will also introduce a cooling-only model optimized for the lifestyles of domestic customers.
Lee Jae-sung, Vice President and Head of the Air Solution Division at LG Electronics H&A Business Division, said, “Through the industry’s first wall-mounted air conditioner with two air outlets providing customized airflow, we will offer customers a differentiated cooling and heating experience.”
