Regional Small Business Managers Visit Stores Directly to Provide Tailored Guidance on Various Support Policies
Operation Period: March 5 to October 18, Total 8 Months
Nowon-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it will provide customized administrative support services to local small business owners through the operation of the 'Visiting Small Business Manager' program.
Since the organizational restructuring in January last year, the district has established the Small Business Support Team and has been implementing various support policies for small business owners. However, according to a survey conducted by the district, few small business owners actually receive benefits due to lack of understanding of support information and application conditions, burdensome administrative procedures, and busy lifestyles.
In response, the district launched the 'Visiting Small Business Manager' project to provide realistically needed services to small business owners. The area is divided into five zones, and managers assigned to each zone visit a total of 20,156 stores.
Main activities include visiting small business stores, providing information and promotion of various support policies, consulting on difficulties and listening to suggestions, matching customized support policies, and assisting with detailed procedures when applying for desired projects.
All small enterprises and small business owners with business locations in Nowon-gu are eligible, excluding medical clinics, accommodations, and luxury industries. The program operates from March 5 to October 18.
Additionally, the district plans to actively ensure that small business owners in need receive practical benefits through the operation of the 'Visiting Small Business Manager' program, not stopping at just discovering support policies.
To this end, the district also operates the ‘Nowon-gu Small Business Information’ KakaoTalk channel to quickly and comprehensively deliver news about support from related organizations. The district plans to continuously provide online and offline feedback while operating the channel.
Understanding the difficulties faced by small business owners pushed to their limits after the pandemic and aiming to establish systematic support policies, the district established the Small Business Support Team in January last year and has been implementing quality support policies such as ‘Small Business Credit Guarantee Support Contributions’ and ‘Loans from the Small and Medium Enterprise and Small Business Development Fund.’
Starting this year, the district launched the ‘Small Business Heating and Cooling System Clean Care Project,’ which supports the disassembly and cleaning of heating and cooling systems within small business premises. On the 29th, it signed an agreement with the Yellow Umbrella Mutual Aid Association to provide a one-year hope incentive to small business owners newly subscribing to the Yellow Umbrella Mutual Aid.
District Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, “For small business owners busy with their livelihoods, the district must actively promote support policies rather than just discovering them,” and added, “Starting with the operation of the Visiting Small Business Manager, we will do our best to provide customized administrative support for the management and livelihood stability of small business owners.”
