Taekwondo Dojang Van Collides with Passenger Car and Crashes into Building... 8 Including Children Injured

An accident occurred where a Starex van carrying students from a Taekwondo dojang collided with a passenger car and then crashed into a nearby building.

According to the police, the accident happened around 4:35 PM on the 5th at an intersection on a side street in Umandong, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi Province. At the time, the impact caused the van to crash into a mobile phone store on the first floor of a nearby commercial building.

As a result of the accident, the van driver, Mr. A in his 40s, five children including elementary school students riding in the vehicle, and mobile phone store staff and customers?a total of eight people?were injured and transported to a nearby hospital. It was reported that none of them are in life-threatening condition.

The police believe the accident occurred when a passenger car traveling straight through the intersection struck the driver's side of the van, which was also traveling straight from another direction.
