Strengthening Environmental Monitoring During Vulnerable Time Periods

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 5th that the Private Environmental Monitoring Team held an inauguration ceremony at the Hwaseong Sports Complex main conference room on the 4th and officially began its activities to prevent environmental pollution and environmental safety accidents.

The Private Environmental Monitoring Team is responsible for strengthening monitoring activities during vulnerable times for environmental pollution such as weekends and nighttime, preventing pollution caused by environmental pollutants including air, wastewater, waste, and livestock manure, and actively responding to environmental accidents such as oil spills.
This year, the Private Environmental Monitoring Team consists of a total of 33 members. The team will conduct ▲ weekend and nighttime patrol and monitoring activities by region ▲ monitoring around business sites with frequent complaints, livestock farms, and rivers ▲ odor and smell monitoring at odor-emitting businesses ▲ monitoring for damage caused by scattered dust and noise around construction sites ▲ monitoring illegal activities such as waste dumping and landfill.
To this end, the city plans to provide education on ▲ the main roles of the monitoring team ▲ work methods and system for monitoring activities ▲ monitoring methods and patrol guidelines by field, as well as instructions on how to monitor and report environmental pollution acts, until the 7th.
