Jongno-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) recently established a 'Digital Civil Service ZONE' in the district office to provide convenience for visitors. Any visitor can access Government24 here and receive various types of civil documents non-face-to-face. Internet searches are also available.
Starting from April this year, a 'Marriage and Birth Celebration Life Cut Studio' will be operated to support the new beginnings of civil service users.
Since last year, to minimize waiting times for visitors, the district has also implemented the online ticket issuance service called 'Smart Number Ticket' and the 'Waiting Number Notification Talk.' This aims to alleviate the inconvenience of visitors who had to wait long hours on-site due to the surge in passport applications caused by increased overseas travel demand.
If you wish to use the service, you can obtain a smart number ticket on the district office website or enter your personal mobile phone number at the civil service kiosk. Afterwards, the district provides real-time updates on waiting numbers and the number of people waiting via KakaoTalk notification messages.
Jongno-gu announced last month that it was selected as an 'Excellent Institution in the 2023 Comprehensive Civil Service Evaluation,' jointly hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. This marks the fourth consecutive year since 2020 that the district has been selected. In this evaluation, the district received favorable reviews for establishing the 'Smart Civil Service System,' expanding civil service accessibility for vulnerable groups through the 'Legal Home Doctor' service, and operating the 'Complex Civil Service Specialist Counselor.'
