No So-young, director of Art Center Nabi, has accused her secretary of embezzling 2.6 billion won, prompting the police to launch an investigation.

According to the police on the 5th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul is investigating Mr. A, who worked as Director No's secretary, on charges including fraud and forgery of private documents under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes.


Mr. A, who joined Art Center Nabi in 2019, is alleged to have transferred approximately 1.975 billion won from Director No's account to his own account dozens of times from December of the same year until the end of last year.


He is also accused of opening a bank account using Director No's name without authorization and embezzling a total of 190 million won in loans in two installments from 2020 to 2022, as well as impersonating Director No last year to send text messages to Art Center employees instructing them to transfer bonuses, thereby embezzling 500 million won in public funds.


Director No filed a complaint against Mr. A with the police in January.
