SK C&C and its digital consulting subsidiary, Accerton Partners, announced on the 5th that they will deploy internal and external experts to focus on four major growth businesses?artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, digital factory, and ESG?as well as digital consulting.
First, to respond to the digital factory market, they recruited Kim Min-hyuk, a manufacturing competitiveness innovation expert, as the head of the newly established "Digital Factory Business Unit." Kim, formerly Managing Director/Partner of Accenture China High Tech, has nearly 20 years of experience working in various manufacturing sites across global regions such as China and Singapore. He is a global manufacturing digital transformation (DX) expert who has directly discovered and led optimal digital transformation projects tailored to local manufacturing industries and companies.
To strengthen the competitiveness of the cloud managed service provider (MSP) platform, Lee Ji-seon, a cloud platform and architecture expert and former head of Naver Cloud, joined as the head of the Cloud Platform Group. Additionally, Cho Hyun-young, head of the Financial Business Development Group and former Deloitte Consulting director, who has accumulated successful cases in various digital finance fields, was also recruited.
With these new hires, SK C&C plans to accelerate the discovery of DX projects not only domestically but also in global local markets. They intend to enter the digital factory business, which is seeing increasing demand overseas, as well as the cloud and IT infrastructure business sectors.
To explore new business opportunities in generative AI and digital ESG fields, they established an internal "Evangelist Task Force (TF) Group" composed of industry and DX experts. They also created a "Global Business Unit" to lead the creation of new global growth engines. Kim Min-hyuk will concurrently serve as the head of the Global Business Unit, enhancing the execution capabilities of global DX projects with digital factory as the spearhead.
SK C&C’s digital consulting subsidiary, Accerton Partners, has also significantly expanded its team of digital innovation consultants.
To meet the increasing demand for DX management innovation from companies, they recruited Kim Sung-soo, a partner and expert in digital and data-based corporate value and financial management (formerly Executive Director at Samjong KPMG). Choi Jin-min, a partner with extensive experience in generative AI, digital platform-based digital management innovation, and DX business development and consulting (formerly Senior Vice President at Kakao Enterprise), also joined. Furthermore, Gil Tae-moon, a partner and digital manufacturing expert who can guide manufacturing companies through digital innovation (formerly Director at PwC Consulting), was recruited.
Yoon Poong-young, President of SK C&C, stated, "We will quickly secure market leadership in the domestic and international DX markets and discover representative success cases by industry to achieve clear results in digital business. We will actively utilize the internal pool of DX experts and recruit global professional DX talents to advance and specialize our business, accelerating our entry into the global DX market."
