Elegant Youths Design 'Baedaltong', Wins iF Design Award Main Prize

Considering Rider Safety, Convenience, and Sustainable Delivery Environment

Woowa Brothers, responsible for the logistics services of Baedal Minjok, announced on the 5th that their top box (delivery container), designed with rider safety and convenience in mind, won the main prize in the Product Concept category at the 2024 iF Design Award.

The top box entry, designed by Woowa Brothers' Rider Growth TF team, features a left-right side-opening design that allows food to be taken out from a safe position. It is also characterized by the intuitive placement of turn signals and brakes on the rear side.

The top box is linked with the Baemin Connect app, providing various conveniences to riders. The internal temperature, weight, and capacity can be checked via smartphone without opening it, and it is equipped with sterilization and temperature control functions both inside and outside. Additionally, it includes a gyro sensor that maintains horizontal balance when the motorcycle turns left or right, minimizing damage to delivery items.

This entry is compatible with all two-wheelers, including bicycles, allowing continuous use even when switching motorcycles, and sustainability is also a feature as it can be handed over to other riders. The internal partitions can be adjusted for rider-specific customization.

A Woowa Brothers representative said, "This entry, designed with rider safety and convenience as the top priorities, is a small but significant step toward creating a sustainable delivery environment," adding, "We hope this entry will help reduce the indiscriminate use and disposal of top boxes and contribute, even slightly, to establishing a sustainable delivery environment."
