Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 4th that it will hold the 21st Century Jangseong Academy by inviting Professor Heo Tae-gyun from the Department of Psychology at Korea University at 4 p.m. on the 7th at the Small Theater of Jangseong Culture and Arts Center.
Professor Heo graduated from the Department of Psychology at Korea University and obtained a master's degree in psychology and a Ph.D. in social psychology from Northwestern University.
His representative work includes "Eojjeoda Hangugin" (Accidentally Korean), and he is actively engaged in various fields such as appearing on YouTube channels and giving lectures.
The topic Professor Heo will bring to this academy is "The Mind of Koreans Who Made the Republic of Korea."
Although Korea has achieved rapid development that is hard to find anywhere else in the world, this session will provide time to discuss and reflect on the minds of Koreans who live feeling unhappy themselves.
The 21st Century Jangseong Academy, which is the longest-running academy in the world, is held every first and third Thursday of the month.
The lecture is open to anyone without a separate application, and a folk band performance will be held before the lecture.
