Busan Gijang-gun to Provide Enrollment Celebration Funds for New Elementary, Middle, and High School Students Starting This Year 2024 Gijang-gun School Enrollment Celebration Fund Support Notice.

The "2024 Gijang-gun Enrollment Congratulatory Money Support Project" is a program where Gijang-gun supports students who have their resident registration in Gijang-gun (as of March 4, 2024) and are entering elementary, middle, high schools, or alternative education institutions with 100,000 KRW per person as enrollment congratulatory money.

Additionally, high school freshmen can receive support for school uniform purchase costs again this year, following last year. The support target is students who have resident registration in Gijang-gun and enter a high school where uniforms are worn, receiving up to 335,000 KRW per person (for summer and winter uniforms, upon first purchase).

The enrollment congratulatory money and school uniform purchase costs can be applied for by the student, parents, or guardians at the administrative welfare center of their resident district from March 6 to December 13. The county will review the resident registration, enrollment status, and duplication of support, and plans to disburse the funds starting in April.

County Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, "I sincerely congratulate the local students on their entrance to elementary, middle, and high schools," and added, "Gijang-gun will actively promote various educational welfare policies to reduce educational expenses for parents and improve educational conditions for students so that it becomes synonymous with a 'child-friendly city.'"
