The Daegu Metropolitan Council (Chairman Man-gyu Lee) will hold the 307th extraordinary session for 11 days from the 5th to the 15th to deliberate on 27 agenda items including proposed and revised ordinances and conduct legislative activities such as site visits.
During this session, the Daegu Metropolitan Council will review a total of 27 agenda items, including 22 proposed and revised ordinances and 5 consent items.
The proposed and revised ordinances scheduled for review include the Ordinance on the Disclosure of Installation and Construction Costs of Public Facilities in Daegu (Councilor Tae-woo Kim, Suseong-gu 5), the Complete Revision Ordinance on the Scholarship Payment for Daegu Volunteer Fire Brigade (Councilor Jong-woo Ryu, Buk-gu 1), the Partial Amendment Ordinance on the Priority Purchase Promotion of Products Made by Severely Disabled Persons in Daegu (Councilor Jae-yong Kim, Buk-gu 3), and the Partial Amendment Ordinance on the Establishment of Daegu Municipal Art Troupe (Councilor Soon-ja Hwang, Dalseo-gu 3).
Additionally, the session will cover various ordinances proposed by councilors in diverse fields, such as the Daegu Environmental Impact Assessment Ordinance (Councilor Byung-moon Ha, Buk-gu 4), the Daegu Robot Industry Promotion and Support Ordinance (Councilor Won-gyu Kim, Dalseong-gun 2), the Daegu Semiconductor Industry Promotion and Support Ordinance (Councilor Jong-pil Park, Proportional Representation), the Daegu Symbol Management Ordinance (Councilor Ki-hoon Kwon, Dong-gu 3), the Ordinance on the Scope of Projects Subject to Traffic Impact Assessment in Daegu (Councilor Kyung-gu Jo, Suseong-gu 2), the Ordinance on the Vehicle Age of Taxi Transport Business Automobiles in Daegu (Councilor Jung-ok Kim, Proportional Representation), and the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education Parent Education Activation Ordinance (Councilor Won-gyu Kim, Dalseong-gun 2). The session will also address the Ordinance on Supporting Special Purpose Corporation Participating Companies for the Rapid Construction of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Integrated New Airport.
The 1st plenary session, scheduled for 10 a.m. on the 5th, will begin with an opening ceremony followed by the approval of various agenda items necessary for the operation of the session. From the 6th to the 14th, each standing committee will review agenda items and visit administrative sites such as the Sincheon Riverside Park project site to directly hear the voices of citizens and on-site personnel and thoroughly examine the progress of administrative projects.
On the 15th at 10 a.m., the 2nd plenary session will be held, featuring 5-minute speeches on various administrative sectors. Prepared topics include urging the protection and realization of rights for pregnant women in crisis and unregistered foreign children (Councilor Jae-sook Lee, Dong-gu 4), urging the establishment of Daegu-style caregiving service support policies for vulnerable groups (Councilor Jae-yong Kim, Buk-gu 3), urging the designation of child protection zones in Daegu to prevent child crimes (Councilor Young-ae Lee, Dalseo-gu 1), and urging the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education’s attention and support for the National Educators Conference held in Daegu (Councilor Young-ae Yoon, Nam-gu 2).
After final approval of the agenda items passed by each standing committee on the day, the 307th extraordinary session will be adjourned.
