Gyeonggi Office of Education to Recruit 692 Level 9 Officials This Year

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will select 692 new local government officials this year through open and career competitive recruitment exams.


The Office announced on the 4th that it will recruit a total of 692 level 9 officials, including 41 candidates for the 1st Career Competitive Recruitment Exam announced on the 19th of last month, 615 for the 2nd Open Competitive Recruitment Exam, 5 for the 3rd Commercial High School Outstanding Talent Trainee Recruitment Exam, and 31 for the 4th Career Competitive Recruitment Exam.


The 2nd Open Competitive Recruitment Exam includes the following by job series: ▲ Educational Administration 532 (General 465, Disabled 53, Low-income 14) ▲ Computer Science 20 ▲ Librarian 3 ▲ Engineering 17 (General Machinery 13, General Electricity 4) ▲ Health 18 ▲ Food Hygiene 12 ▲ Facilities 13 (General Civil Engineering 1, Architecture 12).


Applications will be accepted from April 15 to 19. The written exam will be held on June 22, and the final successful candidates will be announced on September 5.

The 3rd Commercial High School Outstanding Talent Trainee Recruitment Exam targets graduates (or prospective graduates) of commercial high schools (including general high schools with related departments) who have completed related specialized subjects and required courses. Five trainees will be selected. After a six-month probation period, evaluation and review will be conducted, and successful candidates will be appointed as level 9 educational administration officials.


Applications will be accepted from July 22 to 26. However, applicants must be recommended by their school principal to submit an application. The written exam will be held on August 31, and the final successful candidates will be announced on December 18.


The 4th Career Competitive Recruitment Exam targets graduates (or prospective graduates) of technical high schools in the province, selecting 31 candidates: 17 in engineering (general machinery 13, general electricity 4) and 14 in facilities (general civil engineering 1, architecture 13).


Applications will be accepted from August 26 to 30, and applicants must also be recommended by their school principal to submit an application. The written exam will be held on November 2, and the final successful candidates will be announced on December 18.


Notably, the exemption criteria for application fees have been expanded this year. Previously, exemptions were limited to recipients under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act, the near-poverty class, or those eligible under the Single-Parent Family Support Act. From this year, recipients under the Disability Pension Act and individuals with two or more minor children will also benefit.


Additionally, the qualification certificate requirement for the new computer science recruitment exam has been removed, and new bonus qualification certificates have been introduced.
