Lee Jun-seok "People Power Party, All Fat Cats Survived... Democratic Party, Lee Jae-myung's 'I Live Alone' Nomination"

"How Long Must We Watch the Battle Between the Worst and the Less Bad?"
"General Election: A Vote to Distinguish Between the Bad and the New"

Lee Jun-seok, leader of the Reform New Party, criticized the nomination situations of the People Power Party and the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "How long do we have to watch the battle between the worst (最惡) and the lesser evil (次惡)?"

At the Reform New Party's Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Lee said, "The People Power Party is conducting nominations without innovation, saving all the fat cats, and the only seemingly new faces are the 'turned' activists brought in to 'eradicate the activist faction,'" criticizing, "They are 'faces everyone knows,' like the meme of former President Lee Myung-bak in court."

Regarding the Democratic Party, he said, "It's even more ridiculous," and pointed out, "Putting aside Lee Jae-myung's 'I Live Alone' nominations, they are now rushing toward the left cliff just before the election through unification with the Progressive Party." He added, "While the Reform New Party is building a future front in southern Gyeonggi, Lee Jae-myung's Democratic Party is establishing a pro-North Korea front with the Gyeonggi Eastern Alliance," and criticized, "This is not about ideological colors or anything else; it is regression." Lee further criticized, "The Progressive Party may be comrades sharing the flag of national autonomy (NL) for the Gyeonggi Eastern figures and former members of the Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Han-chong-ryeon) who have politically supported Lee Jae-myung for a long time, but to the public, they are simply outdated and unfit for politics."

Lee said, "This general election is not about choosing the lesser evil but about distinguishing between the bad and the new," and added, "The Reform New Party will continue to prove that it is a useful political force completely different from the vested powers in Yeouido who only engage in meaningless fights."
