SNE Research, a secondary battery market research firm, announced that it will hold the "1st Next Generation Battery Seminar (NGBS) Tutorial 2024" at the Korea Science and Technology Center in Gangnam, Seoul, on the 21st and 22nd. This event serves as a pre-seminar for the "7th NGBS 2024," which will take place at the same venue on the 25th and 26th.
The 1st NGBS Tutorial 2024 will be conducted differently from previous seminars that introduced trends in lithium-ion battery technology development. The lecture time will be extended to 80 minutes to provide in-depth presentations on promising lithium-ion battery business areas. Key topics include solid-state batteries, sodium-ion batteries, lithium-sulfur batteries, silicon anode materials, lithium metal batteries, dry processes, and battery thermal management.
SNE Research explained that it invited active researchers from the industry and academia as speakers.
At NGBS 2024, held over two days starting on the 25th, representatives from CATL, a leading Chinese lithium-ion battery cell manufacturer, ProLogium, a solid-state battery manufacturer, and GM from the United States will participate as speakers to explain their battery and electric vehicle development directions.
