Gyeongbuk Office of Education to Recruit 221 Public Officials This Year... 'Expansion of Hiring for Disabled and Low-Income Groups'

Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) announced the '2024 Local Government Employee New Appointment Examination Implementation Plan' on April 4 through the Gyeongbuk Office of Education website.


The Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to select 221 candidates in the local government employee appointment exams, which will be conducted in two sessions: the 1st and 2nd exams this year.

By recruitment category, 147 for Educational Administration, 18 for Educational Administration (Disabled), 4 for Educational Administration (Low-income), 4 for Health, 3 for Records Research, 13 for Drivers, 4 for Drivers (Veterans Affairs Office Recommendation), 1 for Drivers (Bonghwa), 1 for Drivers (Uljin), 19 for Facility Management, 5 for Facility Management (Veterans Affairs Office Recommendation), and 2 for Technical High School Category Recruitment Facility (Architecture), totaling 221 positions will be selected.


To expand public office appointment opportunities for the disabled and low-income groups among the planned number of recruits, 18 disabled persons (8%), which is higher than the legally mandated employment rate of 3.8%, and 4 low-income persons (2%) will be recruited separately.


The exams will be divided into the first and second halves of the year. The 1st appointment exam will be held on June 22 (application period April 15 to April 19), and the 2nd appointment exam on November 2 (application period August 26 to August 30), with written tests conducted on each date. Applications will be accepted online through the internet on the teacher recruitment website.


In particular, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education has expanded the exemption targets for application fees through amendments to personnel regulations, extending from the previous recipients under the 'National Basic Livelihood Security Act' or the lower-income class, and those supported under the 'Single-Parent Family Support Act,' to include recipients under the 'Disability Pension Act' and people with two or more minor children.


Those who pass the written exam will be selected as final successful candidates through an interview.
