Applications Open Until the 15th
For Small Businesses Established Within 7 Years
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business announced on the 4th that it is recruiting companies to participate as mentees in the 'SME Daddy Project' until the 15th.
The target participants are CEOs of small and medium enterprises established within the last 7 years. Mentees will have priority opportunities to participate in mentoring talk concerts where they can hear stories from successful SME CEOs, visit outstanding companies on-site, and explore overseas startup companies.
On the 27th, a mentoring talk concert will be held where attendees can hear vivid stories from successful senior entrepreneurs. In the first part, Park Yong-jun, CEO of Samjin Fish Cake, will speak about the growth and challenges of Samjin Fish Cake. In the second part, Kim Kwan-hoon, CEO of Dookki Tteokbokki, a tteokbokki unlimited refill franchise that has expanded overseas, will give a lecture on his startup success story.
Next month, there are plans for an on-site visit to Viva Republica in April and a mentoring talk concert in May in collaboration with the Proud Small and Medium Business Association.
Park Hwa-sun, Director of Corporate Growth at the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, said, "Through the SME Daddy Project, we hope that early-stage entrepreneurs will be motivated and develop their capabilities by sharing the experiences of mentors, serving as a stepping stone for growth." She added, "We expect a virtuous cycle where senior SME entrepreneurs support junior startups, and these junior startups grow to become mentors for new startups."
Applications for mentees and attendance at the March mentoring talk concert can be made on the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business website.
