Active History in Nosamo and Roh Moo-hyun Foundation
Actor Moon Sung-geun (71), who was active in 'Nosamo (People Who Love Roh Moo-hyun)' supporting the late former President Roh Moo-hyun and the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation, has taken on the role of co-chairman of the joint sponsorship committee for the Innovation Party of the Fatherland, actively supporting former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk.
On the 1st, Moon shared a link to the Innovation Party of the Fatherland's homepage posted by former Minister Cho on his social media service (SNS), writing, "Innovation Party of the Fatherland homepage, you can join the party here." He also promoted on his X (formerly Twitter) account, "'Innovation Party of the Fatherland' Central Party Founding Convention! It will be held on March 3rd at 2 PM at KINTEX in Ilsan." The day before, he posted promotional material titled "Democratic Party Gyeongbuk Candidates Support Account," providing support information for Democratic Party candidates running in the Gyeongbuk region for the general election.

On the 13th of last month, Moon publicly expressed his support for former Minister Cho by stating on SNS, "In the upcoming April general election, I will vote for the 'Innovation Party of the Fatherland' in the party vote for proportional representation." He will serve as co-chairman of the Innovation Party of the Fatherland's joint sponsorship committee alongside novelist Jo Jung-rae (81), author of 'Taebaek Mountains' and 'Arirang,' in this general election. Regarding this, the Innovation Party of the Fatherland's founding preparation committee announced, "Jo Jung-rae, a senior writer who represents Korea and has woven the turbulent modern and contemporary history of the fatherland into long novels with elegant prose, and Moon Sung-geun, a cultural artist who led the renaissance of Korean cinema and has lived a life standing against injustice whenever the fatherland was in difficulty, will serve as co-chairmen of the newly founded Innovation Party of the Fatherland."
Meanwhile, in April 2022, Moon submitted a petition to then-President Moon Jae-in for the special pardon of former Dongyang University professor Jung Kyung-shim, wife of former Minister Cho. He is the third son of the late Moon Ik-hwan, a poet and social activist, and is known as a representative pro-Roh figure and close to former President Moon Jae-in. He has starred in films such as 'The Road to the Racetrack,' 'The 101st Proposal,' 'I Want to Go to That Island,' and 'I Send Myself to You,' and also worked as the host of SBS's 'Unanswered Questions' from 1992 to 1993 and 1997 to 2002. Last year, he played the role of Min Yong-jun in Disney Plus's hit drama 'Moving,' and recently appeared in tvN's drama 'Marry My Husband.'
