YJM Games announced on the 3rd that the global pre-registrations for ‘Kingdom: Wangga-ui Pi,’ officially launching on the 5th, have surpassed 1 million. This achievement comes just one week after surpassing 500,000 pre-registrations.
In particular, the response overseas is very enthusiastic. Pre-registrations are rapidly increasing not only in Korea but also in various countries such as the United States, Thailand, Taiwan, and Brazil. The pre-registration, which began on the 5th of last month through Google Play Store, App Store, One Store, and Galaxy Store, is scheduled to continue until the 4th.
Kingdom: Wangga-ui Pi is currently being developed by Action Square Studio’s ‘Team Mago.’ Based on the IP (intellectual property) of the popular Netflix original series ‘Kingdom,’ it is an action RPG supporting mobile and PC cross-play, featuring a Joseon-era Souls-like concept.
YJM Games announced that to celebrate surpassing 500,000 pre-registrations a week ago, all pre-registrants will receive an additional 50,000 KRW worth of in-game currency on top of the existing pre-registration rewards. With the number surpassing 1 million in just a week, additional costume items will also be added.
Kim Yeon-jun, CEO of Action Square, said, “The play test of the previous demo version ended successfully, leading to a rapid increase in pre-registrations. We will provide abundant rewards to all pre-registrants and hold various events and release various products to ensure a smooth gaming experience.”
YJM Games and Action Square will release the official version on the 5th and will hold a launch countdown event through the official Discord community starting that day. The countdown event will introduce previously unrevealed stories and videos about the conquest battle, and digital goods and launch commemorative coupons will be unveiled. The company stated that it will continue to communicate with users through many events after the launch and strive to create a high-quality game.
